@evleaks kembali mengabarkan rumor, kali ini @evleaks mengabarkan rumor tentang Microsoft . Dikabarkan microsoft kembali memproduksi tablet Surface mini yang sebelumnya sempat dibatalkan. Menurut @evleaks, tablet Surface mini akan diperkirakan akan dirilis pada akhir Agustus mendatang.

Microsoft sebelumnya pernah dikabarkan akan memproduksi dua jenis tablet Windows yaitu Surface mini dan Surface. Tapi kenyataannya sampai saat ini microsoft baru merilis tablet Surface Pro. Tablet Surface Pro ini dirilis secara resmi pada acara konferensi Build yang digelar beberapa bulan lalu. Pada saat perilisan tablet Surface Pro ini beredar rumor yang mengatakan bahwa Microsoft membatalkan perilisan Surface mini.

Tablet Surface mini ini kemungkinan besar sudah disiapkan oleh Microsoft, pernyataan ini dibuktikan dengan ditemukannya kata-kata Surface mini pada buku manual Surface Pro 3. Surface mini dirumorkan akan memiliki layar sentuh 7,5 inci dilengkapi dengan stilus.

Dikabar manufaktur asal China, Microsoft menghentikan proses produksi tablet Surface Mini ketika produk tersebut siap masuki produksi masal. Semua proses sudah usai termasuk juga proses ujicoba perangkat akhir dan pembayaran semua biaya produksi.

Menurut laporan, proses produksi dari Surface Mini dihentikan karena pihak Microsoft tidak yakin tablet tersebut meraih sukses di segmen pasar tablet. Walaupun saat ini proses produksi dihentikan, hal ini tidaklah menutup kemungkinan Microsoft akan melanjutkan kembali produksinya mengingat semua biaya sudah dibayar.
